FTP Manager
What's an FTP Manager? How much handy is it when you are maintaining a site?
Accessing your website content via FTP will be quick and easy. You’ll be able to upload/download files/folders with only a few clicks. Besides administering the entire content, you can also give other users access to a given part of your web hosting account without offering them access to the Control Panel where they can see personal emails or other sensitive details they shouldn’t. You can do this by setting up a different FTP account that they can make use of to access only one folder in the hosting account. This feature is really handy in case you use several web developers or in case you rely on a website building application such as Dreamweaver or FrontPage to run multiple sites at the same time, as you can create a different FTP account for each site or each person. In such a case, it’s essential to be able to manage your FTP accounts effortlessly.

FTP Manager in Shared Hosting
The Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which is included with all our
shared hosting, offers a functionality-loaded FTP Manager that will grant you full control over all FTP accounts in your web hosting account. Setting up or removing an account takes literally just one single click and all the accounts that you’ve got at a given time will be listed in alphabetical order, so you can easily locate the one that you want. You will also be able to check what directory an account can access and by clicking on it, you can change it. In case you’d like to access your hosting space using an FTP client such as FileZilla or Core FTP, you can download an auto-configuration file for any of the FTP accounts and install it on your computer – that account will be configured without you needing to do anything manually yourself. Furthermore, you can see the complete list of all the domains or sub-domains that you can use.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our
semi-dedicated server accounts are administered via the time and effort saving, in-house built Hepsia Control Panel. One of its sections – the FTP Manager, is dedicated to administering your FTP accounts and all of the things related to them, so you’ll be able to administer all the accounts quickly and effortlessly. It’ll take a single mouse click to set up a brand new account, to remove an existing one or simply to change its password. You can also view the full list of all your FTP accounts in this Control Panel section and, for the sake of convenience, you can sort them in alphabetical order – ascending or descending, either by their access path or by username. Changing the path for a certain account is also very easy – you’ll just need to click on it and choose the new directory in the pop-up window that will show up, so you will not need to create a whole new account in case you simply need to specify what website files an existing one can access. You can also take advantage of auto-configuration files for popular FTP applications such as FileZilla and Core FTP.
