.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to buy john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level domain names remained running.

Through our firm, you can reserve your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to update the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special restrictions on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level domain extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the right spelling in your native language.
